As we transition through the phases of Ireland’s recovery roadmap, it’s great to see that many businesses across Ireland have begun phasing themselves back into the workplace.

We’re chatting to businesses daily and some of the most asked questions among SME’s would be around whether there is anything that other companies are doing differently.  What are the options and how we can support them to get their business back on track?

The office support market was hit hard by the sudden, unavoidable shift to remote working back in March. As we’ve all navigated our way through this, we’ve worked closely with our clients to keep up to date on the trends in the market. Sectors that are bouncing back quickly include Engineering, Technology, Pharmaceutical and Property & Construction. It appears that a lot of companies in these sectors are confident to hire which is great news for the economy and a lot are opting to hire temporary staff for a variety of reasons outlined:

Headcount is frozen but we’ve a backlog of admin built up.

Solution - luckily temp contractors don't impact headcount, as they're based on our payroll. Our dedicated Contractor Experience team look after everything for you and the contractor. You can hire for as little as a few hours.

Many of my employees are not in a position to return to work before lockdown is completely lifted. 

Solution - fortunately, we have contractors available immediately to support you until your employees are in a position to safely return.

Due to social distancing, there is not sufficient space to house the extra support needed. 

Solution- some companies have gone down the route of Virtual Assistants who can look after admin duties remotely. These include Administrators, Data Entry Clerks, and Personal Assistants.
